Well it’s awesome and amazing but since many people in malaysia since the fifties, like malay, handful of chinese, baba -nyonya and portueguse eurasian watch bollyhood movies, so it’s not so strange if you come across these people who can speaks hindi, or punjabi or even tamil. i personally came across a few chinese who can speak fluent tamil and malays who could speak hindi.I have known this chinese guy who can sing hindi oldies very well with almost 100 per cent correct pronunciation and he could understand hindi. Even the malaysian born Hong KOng actress , Michelle Yeoh had watched Hindi movies in the 70;s and 80′s when she was growing up in Ipoh.WE live such a diverse mixed community here so we tend to pick up the language of the largest majority in a community that we reside in.
